Expert Guidance Partner
boobydoo are the expert guidance partner for the topic of Sports Bras for the Inclusive Sportswear Charter, created by Tess Howard OLY MBE.
We have also worked with Inclusive Sportswear to create Champion initiatives, which include funded Sports Bra Workshop and Fitting days.

Join the Inclusive Sportswear movement
In addition to embedding sports bra education, schools and organisations can make a broader commitment to inclusive kit and equitable access to sport by signing the Inclusive Sportswear Charter.
By pledging, organisations join a national movement championing choice, comfort, and representation in PE and sport, and gain access to tools, frameworks, and community support created to help every pupil feel confident and able to participate.

Government Adds Sports Bra Guidance to Developing School Uniform Policy
A milestone moment for girls’ confidence, comfort, and long-term participation in sport
In November 2025, the Department for Education (DfE) has updated its national school uniform guidance to include, for the first time, an explicit statement on the importance of sports bras in PE and school sport. The new policy advises schools to “promote the importance of girls wearing sports bras when taking part in PE and sport” as part of creating kit that supports inclusion, participation, and comfort for all pupils.
This landmark shift follows sustained advocacy led by Tess Howard OLY MBE and her Inclusive Sportswear Charter, for which boobydoo authored the sports bra guidance. The Charter has been instrumental in driving policy change across the sector.
A positive step — but a major education gap remains
While the new guidance is a significant win for girls’ wellbeing, confidence, and willingness to participate in school sport, there is still very limited access to high-quality education about sports bras.
Without this knowledge, schools may struggle to implement the guidance meaningfully, and girls risk missing out on the benefits.
To support schools, PE departments, coaches, and youth organisations, boobydoo has launched the Sports Bra Awareness Advocate course, now CIMSPA-endorsed for 5 CPD points.
This self-paced online training equips learners with the knowledge, language, and confidence to support all girls through informed, sensitive, and evidence-led guidance.
