The Problem
64% of girls drop out of sport by the age of 16, and over a third cite their kit as a key reason.
But this doesn’t stop in adolescence.
Research shows that 56% of women experience breast pain during exercise, yet many still lack access to proper support, guidance or education, impacting confidence, performance and long-term participation.
For too many women and girls, this isn’t about motivation.
It’s about access, comfort, and having the right support.

💡 What is the Programme?
The boobydoo Sports Bra Education Programme is a funded initiative designed to remove barriers to participation by improving access to sports bra education and professional fitting support at grassroots level.

🤝 Inclusive Sportswear Commitment

This programme is inspired by the work of Tess Howard and aligned with the principles of the Inclusive Sportswear Charter.
boobydoo are the authors of the Sports Bra section of the Inclusive Sportswear Guidance, and proud supporters of the initiative.
“Too many girls are still being held back by something as simple – and as fixable – as their kit. Inclusive sportswear is about dignity, choice and the right to participate comfortably. These workshops are about more than education – they’re about giving girls the confidence to stay in sport.”
— Tess Howard
